I have an ASUS ROG STRIX Z790 - E Gaming Wifi running latest bios 1303. I put the new 96GB kit in and enabled XMP and it runs absolutely flawlessly.
The 96GB 7200MHz RGB kit is fully compatible with my Asus board.
Just some information. Been running it completely stable for a few weeks since it came out. At 7200MHz.
V-Color ram has the most vibrant, beautiful colors I’ve ever seen in a ram stick, and it performs flawlessly. If you haven’t tried it, you’re missing out. They even have filler ram so that you can fill up all four slots with two filler sticks, and two Ram sticks while saving money . Of course, if you prefer you can still get a set of four ram sticks, either way, you will have excellent performing ram with beautiful color.
I'm running 96GB (2x48) 7200Mhz RGB. I haven't had a single issue. It runs flawlessly at 7200MHz XMP Intel, and the RGB with Prism cut plastic is pretty cool!
Only one thing that's obviously a non-issue for me. I have the RAM in my ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-E Gaming Wi-Fi board, and Armory Crate is telling me the voltage is 1.38, meaning likely around 1.35v in the XMP profile, NOT 1.45 volts. Although my sensor reading could be incorrect. It is Armory Crate after all.
I've not had anything but G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB up to 6800Mhz and it's great RAM. Didn't need any other brand. Then I read these folks came out first with a 96GB DDR5 kit at 7200Mhz with great RGB. I figured let's try it. VERY glad I did!
GREAT STUFF! Highly recommend!
Installed 64Gb into my DS1621xs+. Everything works perfectly fine!
Using with a Z790 Apex & 13900KS at 8400 CL36-48-48-84 and wow these rock! Low voltage kit as well keeps them nice and cool (1.5V with air cooling)
John, it literally states in the description of the product that you will need one of three very specific z790 motherboards in order to run the advertised XMP profile. A Z790 Apex, Z790 Dark Kingpin, or (not listed) a Z790 aorus tachyon.
You should add the aorus tachyon to the list of XMP compatible motherboards.
Otherwise, this is the best ram on the market!
The heatsink is really beautiful, the mirror finish is amazing and the RGB looks good as well. I wasn't able to run them at 8200Mhz using a Z790 Aorus Master but they work at 7600Mhz CL34 43 43 115 which is also great.
Update: I was aware that the Z790 Aorus Master isn't listed in the validated platform list, and haven't blamed the product for the XMP incompatibility. The motherboard was replaced by a Z790 Aorus Tachyon and even though it's able to boot at XMP settings, it isn't stable. With a bit of tweaking I was able to fully stabilize it at 8000 CL36 46 46 56 and am pretty happy with the results!
When will it be possible to purchase 5 kits?
Schneller Versand gute Ware sehr gutes Produkt weiter zu empfehlen danke
When would this be back in stock?
can we get it validated with MSI QVL & Bios?
I got the silver color. Looks great. Rgb is bright and colors are accurate. Runs at advertised speed. Good die. Minimal branding. I like it. They also sent a free ssd rgb filler kit. A nice surprise. It’s also nice to know you have a option to buy some extra “dummy ram” if you want to fill out your motherboard and rgb but want to save some money.
I got two sticks of this RAM to go with an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X in a ASRock B550M Pro4. I opted for the ASRock board because they certified some ECC RAM for the board. I couldn't find the specific RAM they certified, but I found good reviews of V-Color RAM and thought I'd give it a try.
I've never before seen packaging for RAM I'd call beautiful, but this was beautiful, and the RAM couldn't have been more carefully packaged or better protected. Next time I buy RAM from V-Color I'm going to do an unboxing video. It was neat.
This is my first time using an AMD processor in ages, but it was quite happy with this ECC RAM. I opted for the B550M Pro4 based on William's 'TrueNAS' review from a year ago, although I went for a different CPU. Here are some data from Debian Bullseye, the current stable release as of this writing, showing output from the EDAC (Error Detection And Correction - the code that drives error correction when the CPU, chipset, and RAM offer it):
$ dmesg | grep EDAC

I'm quite happy with V-Color and will feel safe using them again for my next server or workstation build, and hopefully my review will offer enough detail to make more folks feel safe leaving Intel behind and going with AMD for systems that want ECC.
Great quality as always, very strong overclocker! DDR5-8000 32-43-43 Very Tight very easy to reach!
